Hey all. I have been painting my living room most of the morning, but I needed a break. My back was getting sore, so I decided to go on the computer. I like the paint color I chose, but I think it looks even lighter than I thought. It is a nice shade of tan. Back to work soon.

HI all. Dinner tonight was my vegetable soup. I added some zucchin and it was great. The kids just love it. Best of all they do not realize all the vegetables they are eating. Simmer the whole pot for about two hours. The meat will be very tender by then. Enjoy.

Well since today was ash wednesday, we just had pizza for dinner. The pizza places were packed because of it being ash wednesday. We had to wait one hour for take out pizza. It was great pizza, so I guess it was worth it. For dessert, strawberries and dipped chocolate.

Beef cubes

Hi all. Here is a great recipe for beef cubes in a crock pot. In the crock pot place a can of cream of mushroom soup, one can 8 oz., of tomato sauce, and one can of condensed Campbells french onion soup. Mix all together, then add one pound of beef cubes. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Serve over egg noodles. It is great.

Hi all. Thiugh it will not be tuesday until tomorrow, my son has been home for six days and he is relly looking forward to going back to school. He misses going after six days off. Valentines Day

Hi all. What a Valentines Day. We received over 20 inches of snow. What a mess. The kids school has already been cancelled for tomorrow. I had no time to cook today as we spent a good part of the day shoveling out. My son did make cheesesteaks for dinner. Snowstorm

Hi all. Well the snow has arrived. We are expecting well over a foot of snow. My kids school has already been cancelled for tomorrow. A great day for them to go sleigh riding.

Bread pudding

With the snow on its way, I decided to prepare some bread pudding. It warms the house and smell great too. One thing I add that my son especially loves are dried cranberries. They have that little bit of tartness to them. Don't forget to use fresh nutmeg too. The fresh makes all the difference.

Hi all. Todays recipe for you chicken people,
It is for the crock pot. Place about a pound of boneless chicken in crock pot with one cup of broth and one packet of good seasons italian dressing. Cook on low for about 5 hours. In a bowl, mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with a package of cream cheese. Add this to the crock pot and cook for another half hour. Serve with noodles or rice. My family loves this meal. Snow update

Well as of this mornig, the snow update is predicting upwards of 18 inches for us. I had to run to the grocery store this morning and it was packed. I guess everyone is in a panic. We have a nice snow thrower, so we will be fine. I guess the kids are going to get a LONG presidents day holiday.

Well the meteorologists in our area are predicting up to a foot of snow. My kids said their teachers are already expecting school to be closed on Wednesday.

We just had dinner and I cooked up some breast of chicken that I breaded in a mixture of bread crumbs seasoned with italian seasoning, paprika, pepper, and grated cheese. Well it is early morning. My son is in a science competition this afternoon. I plan to make him a hearty breakfast. One of his favorites are scrambled eggs and toast. Minnestrone

Hello.
Well here is how to make a great minnestrone soup. Gently fry 1 chopped onion and 2 cloves of garlic in some oil. Add 15 oz. of preferably homemade spaghetti sauce, and 6 cups good beef broth. Add 1 cup chopped celery, carrot and zucchini. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer this all about 2 hours. Add white beans if you choose and your pasta of choice. Serve with a good crusted rolls and parmesan cheese.

Spaghetti

Hi all. Here is a great recipe to try. My homemade sauce.
In some EVOO cook up a small chopped onion and 2 cloves of garlic. Let it sweat out about 3 minutes. Then add 1 can tomatoe juice and 3 small cans of tomatoe paste. Stir it up and then add 1 cup of water. Next add about 1 cup of good parmeasan cheese and 1 tsp. of oregano and basil. Simmer all this for about 2 hours. Enjoy. Next up metballs.
